Inkpot Award (comics writing) and Rondo Hatton Award (Horror) Winning Author of the Best-Selling Novelization Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Donald F. Glut's First, Never-before Published Novel since 2010. Who is Jawbreaker, the hooded hero? The underworld wants to know! Called Jawbreaker because of his no holds barred approach to fighting crime, he thinks nothing of stealing a cop's motorcycle in his single-minded pursuit of evil doers! Not wanting to waste a moment in his battle against evildoers, Jawbreaker doesn't pause to don a costume, he merely slips on a black hood and goes into instant action in whatever he happens to be wearing. Be it a suit and tie or dungarees and a sweatshirt. Performing incredible feats of speed and strength, Jawbreaker possesses no superpowers. But like other famous, bigger-than-life champions of justice - e.g., Zorro, the Scarlet Pimpernel, Tarzan, the Green Arrow, the Spirit, the Lone Ranger, Santo, the Phantom, etc. - he is a superhero. But now Jawbreaker is up against his greatest challenge, a fiend called the Scarlet Skull who has unleashed a reign of terror on Southern California. But what is his motive? Revenge? Profit? Power? Or is he a complete madman glorying in inflicting death and destruction on anyone and any thing? No one knows. And no one seems able to stop him. Jawbreaker alone is determined to track down the Scarlet Skull and end the supervillain's monstrous career of bloodshed and death - even if it costs the hooded hunter his life! Donald F. Glut is the author of the Number 1 nationwide bestseller, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. He is also a prolific, Inkpot Award winning comic book author, who has written for Marvel, DC, and Gold Key Comics. As a novelist, television and comic book writer, Glut has written for popular franchises such as The Monkees, Tarzan, Spider-Man, Star Wars. Transformers, Captain America, G.I. Joe, Vampirella, Masters of the Universe, The Flintstones, Jonny Quest and others. The prolific Mr. Glut has also carved a niche in the film world as an executive-producer, writer and director of "traditional-style" horror movies featuring iconic monsters, among the most recent Tales of Frankenstein, Dances with Werewolves and The Mummy's Kiss. All of which makes him the ideal person to create a masked hero in the classic vein and to present that hero in slick, polished, high velocity pulp fiction prose. Donald F. Glut is the author of three previous novels, including the thrillers, Bugged! and Spawn.
