Sermons: University and Parochial is a book written by Edward Thomas Vaughan and published in 1801. The sermons are designed to provide guidance and inspiration to readers on various aspects of Christian life. The book is divided into two parts, with the first part containing sermons that were delivered at the University of Oxford, where Vaughan was a fellow of Oriel College. These sermons are aimed at university students and cover topics such as the importance of education, the role of religion in academic life, and the need for moral and ethical conduct. The second part of the book contains sermons that were delivered at various parishes in England. These sermons are aimed at a general audience and cover topics such as the importance of faith, the need for repentance, and the role of the church in society.Throughout the book, Vaughan's writing is characterized by his deep knowledge of the Bible and his ability to apply its teachings to contemporary issues. His sermons are also marked by their clarity and accessibility, making them suitable for readers of all ages and backgrounds.Overall, Sermons: University and Parochial is a valuable resource for anyone seeking guidance and inspiration on their Christian journey. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
